Position Overview
The President of multiple local businesses is seeking a highly dependable, discreet, and capable individual to provide a combination of professional driving, personal assistance, executive support, errands, and day-to-day household and office assistance.
This is not a conventional desk-based executive assistant position. The successful candidate will be comfortable moving between driving, running errands, assisting at the office, helping around the residence, coordinating appointments and deliveries, and handling practical day-to-day tasks. The role is intended to make the President’s workday and personal schedule more organized, productive, and efficient.
The ideal candidate is polished and professional, but also practical and willing to help wherever needed. Strong driving skills, sound judgment, confidentiality, flexibility, and attention to detail are essential. An ability and interest in cooking or meal preparation would be a significant asset.
Primary ResponsibilitiesProfessional Driving and Chauffeur Duties
- Provide safe, comfortable, and punctual transportation to meetings, project sites, airports, appointments, dinners, and other engagements.
- Drive throughout Cranbrook, Kimberley, Fernie, and the surrounding region, with occasional longer-distance or overnight travel.
- Plan routes and monitor road, weather, and traffic conditions.
- Be comfortable driving in winter, mountain, rural, and highway conditions.
- Maintain a professional, calm, and discreet environment while driving.
- Keep assigned vehicles clean, fuelled, organized, and ready for use.
- Coordinate vehicle servicing, detailing, tire changes, registrations, and other routine maintenance.
- Assist with loading and unloading luggage, equipment, purchases, supplies, and personal belongings.
- Maintain confidentiality regarding all conversations, destinations, meetings, and business matters.
Personal and Executive Assistance
- Assist with calendar management, appointments, reminders, reservations, and daily scheduling.
- Help coordinate meetings, travel arrangements, accommodations, and itineraries.
- Prepare or organize basic correspondence, documents, packages, and meeting materials.
- Track follow-up items and help ensure commitments and outstanding tasks are completed.
- Coordinate with company employees, consultants, trades, service providers, and household vendors.
- Receive, organize, and deliver documents, cheques, packages, keys, and other materials.
- Assist with basic expense tracking, receipts, purchases, and credit-card documentation.
- Maintain organized lists, records, contact information, and recurring schedules.
- Provide practical assistance during busy periods, meetings, events, or special projects.
Errands and General Support
- Complete personal and business errands efficiently and independently.
- Pick up groceries, prescriptions, dry cleaning, meals, office supplies, building materials, gifts, and other purchases.
- Handle courier deliveries, returns, exchanges, banking deposits, and postal errands.
- Coordinate appointments and access for cleaners, maintenance personnel, contractors, and other service providers.
- Keep household and office supplies stocked and organized.
- Assist with travel preparation, including packing support, vehicle preparation, and collecting required items.
- Research and source products, services, reservations, or local providers when requested.
- Anticipate routine needs and address them before they become urgent.
Household and Office Assistance
- Perform light household and office tasks as required.
- Help keep frequently used areas tidy, organized, stocked, and presentable.
- Assist with organizing closets, storage areas, vehicles, home offices, and workspaces.
- Help with laundry, dry-cleaning coordination, unpacking, basic tidying, and household resets when needed.
- Receive groceries, deliveries, furniture, supplies, and service personnel.
- Assist with preparation before and cleanup following meetings, dinners, guests, or small events.
- Water plants, check the residence during travel, and assist with other basic property-related tasks.
- Work cooperatively with cleaners, property staff, office employees, and outside service providers.
Cooking and Meal Support — Strong Asset
- Prepare simple, healthy, high-quality meals or snacks.
- Assist with grocery shopping, menu planning, ingredient preparation, and kitchen organization.
- Prepare meals in advance for busy workdays or travel.
- Assist with casual dinners, guests, or small gatherings.
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen after meal preparation.
Professional culinary training is not required, but confidence in the kitchen and an enjoyment of cooking would be highly valued.

Qualifications and Requirements
- Valid British Columbia Class 5 driver’s licence.
- Excellent driving record and ability to provide a satisfactory driver’s abstract.
- Significant experience driving in winter and mountain conditions.
- Ability to pass a criminal record check and provide professional references.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Good working knowledge of smartphones, email, calendars, navigation applications, and basic office software.
- Ability to lift and carry groceries, luggage, packages, and household or office supplies.
- Flexibility to work occasional early mornings, evenings, weekends, or extended days when travel or business commitments require it.
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and sign a confidentiality agreement.
- Legal authorization to work in Canada.
Preferred Experience
Experience in one or more of the following would be beneficial:
- Executive or personal assistance.
- Professional driving, chauffeur, or executive transportation.
- Hospitality, luxury hotel, private household, or concierge service.
- Office administration or project coordination.
- Construction, development, property management, or real estate.
- Household management or estate assistance.
- Cooking, meal preparation, catering, or food service.
- First aid or defensive-driving training.
Schedule
This is expected to be a full-time position with a generally predictable schedule; however, flexibility is important. Some early mornings, evenings, weekends, day trips, and occasional overnight travel may be required based on business meetings, project visits, airport travel, or personal commitments.
The role requires responsiveness and flexibility, but it is not intended to be permanently on call.

Compensation will be competitive and based on the successful candidate’s experience, capabilities, availability, and the overall scope of responsibilities.
