Premiere Vancouver Island Spa Destination Hiring Part-Time Night Auditor
Kingfisher Pacific Resort and Spa is an award-winning destination nestled in a stunning oceanfront setting. Our Night Auditor oversees the front desk and has an overall presence for the resort during the overnight hours of 11:00pm – 7:00am.
Responsibilities include:
· Ensures the proper completion of all night audit duties and check lists
· Resolves guest problems quickly, efficiently, and courteously
· Registers, processes, and greets after hours arrivals promptly, welcoming them to the hotel
· Stays current with developments in the hotel by reviewing the communication binder and memo’s each shift; updates communication binder for next shift
· Ensures all customers establish credit upon check-in
· Verifies all information on reservations check-in; name, address, method of payment, etc.
· Effectively communicates with guests on noise complaints and issues
· Produces accurate and timely reports and correctly handles cash transactions.
· Accounting duties include verifying accuracy of transactions and completing daily revenue audits, posting transactions, performing end-of-day procedures, compiling and running statistical reports for all departments and transfer of information into our accounting system.
· Provides support to any guests needing assistance and deals with issues as they arise
· Acts as hotel liaison during night hours.
· Prepares nightly report detailing all overnight activities out of the ordinary in the nightly daily snapshot
· Assists with any guest issues that may arise during the shift, lends assistance as required and directed.
· Reports any deficiencies, damages or repairs required.
· Monitors fire and life safety systems and respond to any alarms.
· Assists with other duties assigned.
Qualifications
· Minimum 1 year Guest Services experience
· Front office computer knowledge
· Flexible and energetic with the ability to work under pressure
· Excellent communication skills
· Experience in Night Audit with an accounting background is an asset.
· Front Desk experience or related hotel experience is an asset
· Experience with Resort Suite is preferred but not required
· A good understanding of Microsoft Office is required.
· Responsible and conscientious, providing service, which meets our ten commitments
· Must be prepared to work overnight shifts and manage personal life accordingly
