Position Summary:
We are currently seeking a reliable, motivated Warehouse & Customer Service Associate to join our growing team at the Courtenay location. In this dual role, you will ensure our warehouse operates safely and efficiently while providing top-tier service to our customers.
The ideal candidate will assist with organizing inventory, picking and shipping orders, making local deliveries, and handling customer inquiries regarding pricing, products, and availability.
Key Responsibilities
Warehouse:
- Order Picking: Accurately pick customer and interbranch orders, double-checking for precision prior to shipment.
- Receiving: Safely unload inbound trucks/trailers, stage goods in the receiving lane, and verify counts and product quality.
- Inventory Management: Efficiently put away products across all racking levels using appropriate material handling equipment.
- Maintenance: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment, performing other duties as assigned by the manager.
Customer Service & Delivery:
- Front-Line Support: Professionally handle phone calls, emails, and walk-in counter customers.
- Problem Solving: Provide best-in-class service to resolve customer inquiries regarding pricing, availability, and orders in a timely manner.
- Local Delivery: Organize and load orders into a company/own vehicle and execute timely deliveries to local clients.
- Safety Compliance: Strict adherence to safety protocols, including the consistent use of required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Other duties, such as organizing shelves, cleaning the warehouse, and other tasks as assigned by the manager.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Previous warehouse or industrial counter sales experience is an asset, but we are willing to train the right candidate.
- Licensing: Must possess a valid Driver’s License and be willing to provide a current driver’s abstract.
- Physical Demands: Must be physically fit and capable of comfortably lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Equipment: Forklift experience or certification is highly beneficial.
