MARKETING MANAGER

ROLE OVERVIEW
The Marketing Manager is responsible for leading the social media presence, content creation, marketing initiatives, and overall brand presence of Second Nature Boutique.
This role oversees the planning and execution of social content across platforms, creates engaging and on-brand content that showcases products and the Second Nature lifestyle, supports sales and promotional initiatives, and helps build a strong and recognizable online community.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, creative, fashion-forward, proactive, and comfortable working in a fast-paced retail environment where content often needs to be created, edited, and posted on a daily/weekly basis.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
SOCIAL MEDIA MANAGEMENT
- Manage Second Nature Boutique’s social media accounts and overall online presence.
- Develop and maintain a consistent social media strategy that aligns with the brand’s aesthetic, goals, and sales objectives.
- Plan and maintain a weekly/monthly content calendar.
- Schedule and publish regular content across Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and other relevant platforms.
- Stay current on social media trends, sounds, formats, features, and platform best practices.
- Monitor engagement, comments, DMs, shares, saves, and overall community activity.
- Respond to comments and messages in a timely and brand-appropriate manner.
- Identify opportunities to increase reach, engagement, followers, and website/store traffic.
- Ensure all social media content remains consistent with Second Nature’s brand voice and visual identity.
- Stay informed on current brand marketing initiatives, driving inspiration and monitoring current trends and trend projections.
CONTENT CREATION
- Create and produce high-quality photo and video content for social media.
- Regularly film Reels, TikToks, Stories, product features, try-ons, styling videos, behind-the-scenes content, and promotional content.
- Capture new arrivals and products in-store and create content that highlights product details, styling options, and key selling points.
- Create content around launches, promotions, events, seasonal campaigns, holidays, and special initiatives.
- 1+ years experience in content creative apps and editing apps such as Capcut, Canva, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Lightroom, + more.
- Comfortable in front and behind the camera.
- Work with team members to coordinate models, styling, locations, products, and props when necessary.
- Edit short-form video and photo content for social media.
- Write engaging captions, hooks, calls-to-action, and promotional copy.
- Repurpose existing content across multiple platforms where appropriate.
- Maintain an organized library of photos, videos, graphics, and other marketing assets.
PRODUCT & SALES MARKETING
- Work closely with the retail team to understand new arrivals, best sellers, inventory priorities, and products that need additional exposure.
- Create social content that directly supports product launches and sales.
- Highlight new arrivals, restocks, best sellers, seasonal products, promotions, and featured collections.
- Run and maintain paid ads for social media and website SEO (Meta, Instagram, Tiktok) as needed.
- Develop content that helps customers understand how to style and wear products.
- Communicate key product details and selling points through social media.
- Support in-store promotions and events through digital marketing.
- Create urgency and excitement around product drops, limited quantities, and promotional periods.
- Collaborate with the team to identify products and initiatives that should receive additional marketing support.
MARKETING & CAMPAIGNS
- Assist with the planning and execution of seasonal marketing campaigns.
- Develop creative concepts for product launches and promotional campaigns.
- Coordinate campaign timelines, content needs, and deliverables.
- Create supporting social media content for promotions and events.
- Email marketing and other digital marketing initiatives are required.
- Support collaborations, influencer partnerships, giveaways, events, and community initiatives.
- Research new marketing opportunities and strategies that can help increase brand awareness and sales.
- Maintain a strong understanding of Second Nature’s brand identity, customer, and aesthetic.
- Ensure all content consistently reflects the Second Nature brand.
- Help develop and evolve the brand’s visual presence across digital channels.
- Stay informed on fashion, retail, social media, and content trends relevant to the brand.
- Identify creative opportunities to make Second Nature stand out within the boutique and fashion space.
COLLABORATION & COMMUNICATION
This role works closely with:

- Photographers/videographers when applicable
- External selling app’s for sales.
REQUIREMENTS
- 3+ years of experience in e-commerce, digital marketing, fashion marketing or a related field.
- Post-secondary education in Marketing, E-Commerce, Digital Marketing, Fashion Marketing, Business, Communications or a related field.
- Strong understanding of Shopify and e-commerce platforms.
- Experience with email marketing, social media and digital advertising.
- Strong understanding of e-commerce marketing strategies and customer journeys.
- Comfortable working with analytics and using data to inform marketing decisions.
- Strong organizational and project management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines.
- Interest in fashion, luxury, designer resale and digital trends.
- Creative, proactive and able to work independently in a fast-paced retail environment.
The role requires someone who can balance creativity, consistency, organization, and commercial awareness to ensure social media and marketing directly contribute to the overall success of Second Nature Boutique.
