JOB DESCRIPTION
Heritage Ford is seeking a strong Level 3 310S Automotive Service Apprentice to join our growing service team. This position is ideal for an apprentice who has developed solid diagnostic skills and is eager to continue expanding their technical knowledge while working alongside experienced Ford technicians.
The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting with and performing diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on Ford vehicles while delivering high-quality workmanship and exceptional customer service. We are looking for someone who is confident in troubleshooting vehicle concerns, takes pride in doing the job right, and is committed to becoming a top-performing licensed technician.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform vehicle diagnostics with guidance and increasing independence.
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and drivability concerns.
- Complete maintenance and repair work in accordance with Ford and dealership standards.
- Conduct multi-point inspections and accurately document findings.
- Utilize diagnostic equipment, wiring diagrams, and service information to troubleshoot concerns.
- Communicate effectively with Service Advisors and Licensed Technicians regarding repair recommendations and repair progress.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
- Participate in Ford technical training and continue progressing through the apprenticeship program.
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
- Registered Level 3 310S Automotive Service Apprentice in Ontario.
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting abilities with the confidence to identify root causes of vehicle concerns.
- Previous dealership experience is considered a strong asset.
- Experience using diagnostic scan tools and interpreting repair information.
- Strong work ethic with a willingness to learn and grow.
- Ability to work independently while knowing when to seek guidance.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Valid Ontario Class G Driver's Licence with a clean driver's abstract.
- Own tools required.
- Experience with PBS is considered an asset.
