The restaurant operates in a fast-paced quick-service environment and requires consistent management coverage across multiple operating periods to maintain service standards, food safety, staffing, inventory control, cash procedures, and franchise compliance.
Position Summary
The Restaurant Manager will be responsible for independently planning, organizing, directing, controlling, and evaluating daily restaurant operations. This is a management-level role with full operational accountability, not a shift-level supervisory position. The successful candidate must be capable of managing staff, controlling labour and inventory costs, maintaining Tim Hortons brand standards, handling customer service issues, supporting profitability, and ensuring safe and efficient restaurant operations.

Secondary school graduation certificate required.
Post-secondary education in hospitality, business, food service management, or a related field is considered an asset.
Experience
Minimum 3 years of supervisory or management experience in a quick-service restaurant, food service, hospitality, or similar fast-paced customer service environment is required.

Main Duties
Operations Management
Plan, organize, direct, control, and evaluate daily restaurant operations.
Establish and implement operational procedures in accordance with Tim Hortons head office standards, audit requirements, and franchise expectations.
Oversee opening, daytime, evening, weekend, and peak-period operations as required.
Monitor service speed, product quality, food preparation standards, cleanliness, and overall guest experience.
Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, health and safety, and employment standards requirements.
Address operational problems and implement corrective measures to maintain service consistency.
Staff Management and Leadership
Recruit, interview, hire, train, schedule, supervise, coach, and evaluate restaurant staff.
Provide leadership and direction to team members, supervisors, and assistant managers.
Conduct onboarding and continuous training for new and existing employees.
Prepare and conduct performance reviews.
Address attendance, performance, conduct, and workplace issues in accordance with company policy.
Identify high-potential employees and support internal development and career progression.
Manage staff scheduling to ensure adequate coverage across all shifts while controlling labour costs.
Financial and Sales Responsibilities
Monitor daily sales performance and support achievement of sales and service targets.
Review labour costs, sales trends, food costs, and operating expenses.
Assist with budgeting, cost control, and operational expense management.
Oversee cash handling procedures, deposits, balance sheets, cash reports, and daily financial reporting.
Identify opportunities to improve profitability, reduce waste, and increase operational efficiency.
Inventory and Supply Management
Monitor inventory levels and ensure timely ordering of food, beverages, paper products, and supplies.
Manage product rotation, storage procedures, waste control, and inventory variance.
Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to maintain consistent supply chain operations.
Ensure sufficient product availability during peak periods and promotional campaigns.
Customer Service and Problem Resolution
Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and consistent service quality.
Handle and resolve escalated customer complaints professionally, including in-person and online customer concerns.
Maintain a positive dining experience for all guests.
Implement service improvements based on guest feedback and operational performance.
Compliance and Safety
Enforce workplace safety policies and security procedures to protect employees, guests, and business property.
Ensure compliance with Tim Hortons corporate policies, franchise standards, brand requirements, and audit expectations.
Support loss prevention, theft reduction, and secure restaurant operations.
Maintain accurate records related to training, scheduling, inventory, cash handling, and operational compliance.
Supervision
Supervise approximately 16 to 20 staff members.
Credentials
Food Service Manager Certification required.
Food Handler Certification required.
Valid driver’s licence is considered an asset.
