Reporting to the Metallurgical Supervisor, you will be part of the Metallurgical Department. You will ensure that the goals and objectives are achieved while promoting and respecting Agnico Eagle’s values, Health & Safety Code of Conduct and the environment.
- Conduct metallurgical test work, including sample preparation, laboratory testing, and data analysis;
Assist in the development and optimization of metallurgical processes to improve gold recovery rates;
Monitor daily plant operations and metallurgical performance to ensure optimal efficiency and productivity;
Prepare daily / weekly summary reports on process performance;
Work collaboratively with other team members in the department in the troubleshooting and optimization of process plant operations;
Work closely with other departments, including geology, mining, and environmental teams, to ensure integrated and efficient operations;
Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment;
Monitor and ensure compliance with environmental regulations and company policies;
Participate in safety and environmental training programs and initiatives;
Participate in continuous improvement projects and initiatives to enhance overall plant performance;
Ensure proper maintenance and calibration of metallurgical laboratory equipment;
Troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues to minimize downtime and ensure accurate test results.

Bachelor of Science in Mineral Processing, Metallurgical or Chemical Engineering;
Registered with the Professional Engineers Ontario; considered an asset
2 years’ experience in a mineral processing operation;
Ability to understand and apply experimental design principles and statistical processing and interpretation;
Practical knowledge of the principles and methods used in gold processing plants;
Experience working at a remote work site is an asset.
Your Work Schedule:
Schedule: 14 days of work, followed by 14 days for transportation and rest;
Accommodations and meals are provided on site at no cost to the employee. Agnico Eagle provides transportation to and from the mine site and will accommodate to cover other travelling expenses according to your location of residence in Canada.

Compensation Statement
In accordance with applicable legislation, the expected compensation includes base salary and potential bonus opportunity. Your individual pay will reflect your skills and experience while remaining competitive within the local market.
