What will you be doing!

Contract Analysis & Compliance
-
Interpreting and applying contract terms in daily transactions and minor disputes.
-
Serving as the Single Point of Contact (SPOC) for all commercial and contractual matters.

Verifying technical and commercial compliance throughout execution and at contract completion.
-
Documenting, logging, managing, and tracking deliverables, decisions, events, and supplier documentation in accordance with Document Control procedures.

Contract Execution & Change Management
-
Coordinating and leading Contract Kick‑off Meetings and Supplier Progress Meetings.
-
Managing Contract Change Control by identifying, evaluating, negotiating, documenting, approving, and securing funding for changes.
-
Developing Contract Execution Plans in collaboration with the contract team.
-
Collaborating with Contract Officers, Supply Chain Management, and Legal to interpret contract requirements and escalating disputes when necessary.

Financial & Performance Oversight
-
Verifying invoice accuracy and compliance with contract requirements and monitoring timely supplier payments.
-
Leading the development and reporting of contract performance metrics, including cost, schedule, quality, and technical measures.
-
Conducting and supporting performance meetings as required by the contract.

Ensuring full contract completion by resolving work items, deficiencies, and administrative requirements.

Continuous Improvement & Knowledge Management
-
Providing specialized advice to enhance contract administration processes, procedures, and tools.
-
Participating in and leading Lessons Learned meetings, documenting and sharing insights gained during contract execution.
-
Leading or contributing to process and procedure creation or improvement initiatives.
-
Sharing best practices and supporting organizational learning to strengthen contract management frameworks.

What we are looking for:

Education
-
Post-secondary education in Business Administration/ Supply Chain Management/ Engineering/ Contract Administration.
-
Designation holder or enrolment in a Certified Supply Chain Program (E.g., National Institute of Supply Chain Leaders (NISCL)-Certified Supply Chain Leader (CSCL) etc.) is considered an asset.

Experience
-
3-5 years pertinent experience or 8 years of equivalent experience with projects and/or construction projects.
-
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
-
Knowledge and understanding of contract law, procurement practices and processes/processes and tasks, with an emphasis on complex procurements requiring the participation of technical experts (technical experts, legal, quality assurance).
-
Demonstrated understanding of contract terminology and contract interpretation, contract strategies, pricing models and contract risks.
-
Formal training and/or demonstrated experience in relationship management, conflict resolution and negotiation.
-
Ability to work in a team environment both within Supply Chain and with internal clients.
-
Ability to work independently, establish priorities to meet conflicting deadlines, and resolve conflicts promptly.
-
Strong computer skills at an advanced level in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint).
-
Outstanding organizational skills and oral and written communication capabilities.
-
Strong sense of accountability, work ethic and analytical skills required.
-
Demonstrated ability to lead others through influence rather than authority.
-
Ability to maintain clear, concise documentation on all stages of the procurement.
-
Technical background/knowledge, or a demonstrated understanding of design/construction contracts, would be an asset.

Knowledge and experience with a variety of Quality Assurance programs. Knowledge of nuclear quality assurance programs would be an asset.
-
Demonstrated understanding of contract terminology and contract interpretation, contract strategies, pricing models (e.g., Fixed Price, Unit, Time and Material (T&M), Target Cost, etc.) and various contract risks and liabilities.
-
Knowledge and experience with a variety of Quality Assurance programs.
-
Understanding of Financial (cost) management and accounting practices.
-
Knowledge of Nuclear Quality Assurance programs is considered an asset.

Security Clearance Eligibility Required
-
Reliability Status which has a minimum requirement of 3-5 years of verifiable history in Canada, Australia, New Zealand, the United States and/or the United Kingdom. CNL implements security screening in accordance with the Treasury Board of Canada Secretariat's “Standard on Security Screening” and the “Policy on Government Security.”
Working Conditions:

Working schedule: Five (5) days per week, seven and a half (7.5) hours per day for a thirty-seven and a half (37.5) hour work week.

Being able to participate in walk-downs/navigate throughout the Work Site.
-
Working for long hours in a non-standard office environment that may exert physical and mental pressures.
-
The environment demands high vigilance to alarms, lights, and signals as a safety requirement.
-
Conflicting deadlines and unplanned demands, which may require work beyond the normal working hours.
-
Potential access to hazardous environments, requiring the incumbent to wear Personal Protective Equipment and Clothing (PPE&C) to mitigate any potential physical/health hazards.

Potential hazards include, but are not limited to: dirt, dust, smoke, heat, and other potential industrial hazards
