Trail Home Hardware Building Centre has a strong focus on professional contractor and LBM sales. We partner with builders, renovators, and trades by delivering accurate quotes, reliable supply, and knowledgeable support that keeps projects on schedule. Our Pro Desk is a critical hub for contractor relationships and revenue growth.
The Opportunity
As an Inside Sales Associate – Pro Desk / LBM, you are a trusted partner to our contractor customers. You will manage day-to-day Pro Desk activity, prepare detailed LBM quotes and take-offs, and coordinate closely with yard, delivery, purchasing, and outside sales teams. Accuracy, follow-through, and relationship management are essential to success in this role.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as a primary point of contact for contractor and pro-account customers
- Prepare detailed lumber and building material quotes, estimates, and take-offs
- Process high-volume and project-based LBM orders with accuracy and urgency
- Support project scheduling, special orders, and delivery coordination
- Follow up on quotes, pricing, backorders, and job changes
- Maintain contractor account details, pricing, and documentation
- Work closely with Outside Sales, Yard, and Delivery to ensure seamless execution
- Uphold safety, margin discipline, and company policies
What You Bring
- Proven experience in LBM, Pro Desk, or contractor sales
- Strong working knowledge of lumber, framing packages, and building materials
- Ability to read plans, perform material take-offs, and support project quoting
- Relationship-focused mindset with strong communication skills
- High attention to detail and accountability for order accuracy and timelines
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Experience with POS, order entry, and estimating systems
