The Opportunity
Nu Edge Construction Ltd. is seeking an energetic, driven, and relationship-focused Rural Sales Manager to support the growth of our Rural Construction Division.
The Rural Sales Manager will play a key role in identifying new business opportunities, developing client relationships, and helping secure infrastructure projects throughout Alberta. This individual will work closely with estimating, operations, project management, municipalities, developers, engineering firms, and rural stakeholders to expand Nu Edge's presence in the market.
The successful candidate will be a self-starter with strong communication skills, a passion for building relationships, and a solid understanding of rural infrastructure construction and municipal development.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with developers, engineering firms, consultants, and industry partners.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities within Alberta's rural infrastructure market.
- Promote Nu Edge Construction's services and capabilities to potential clients.
- Attend industry events, conferences, trade shows, and networking opportunities.
- Monitor upcoming tenders, development opportunities, and market trends.
- Collaborate with the estimating and operations teams to support project pursuits and client proposals.
- Assist in developing strategic growth initiatives for the Rural Division.
- Conduct client meetings and presentations.
- Maintain regular communication with existing clients to identify future opportunities.
- Support contract negotiations and project acquisition efforts.
- Track sales activities, leads, and opportunities through company reporting systems.
- Represent Nu Edge Construction professionally while promoting our values and culture.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in construction sales, business development, project management, municipal infrastructure, or related industries.
- Strong understanding of rural infrastructure construction, municipal servicing, and land development projects.
- Existing network of engineering, consulting, or development contacts is considered a strong asset.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and achieve performance targets.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM systems.
- Valid Class 5 Driver's License.
- Willingness to travel throughout Alberta as required.

- Water and sewer infrastructure projects.
- Lagoon construction and rehabilitation.
- Rural subdivisions and acreage developments.
- Municipal road and drainage construction.
- Public tender processes and municipal procurement.
