Responsibilities
- Design, develop and continuously improve curriculum and learning solutions across multiple service lines
- Manage priority curriculum initiatives and the delivery of technical, leadership, professional skills and firmwide learning programs
- Contribute to the design of complex learning solutions by defining learning pathways, delivery methods, assessments, prerequisites, ownership and lifecycle status
- Partner with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to identify learning needs, translate business requirements into learning outcomes and recommend effective learning solutions
- Coach, mentor and develop a designated team of Instructional Designers
- Oversee instructional design projects, team capacity and workload to optimize quality, efficiency and delivery timelines
- Establish and maintain instructional design standards, templates, style guides and quality review processes to ensure consistent, high-quality learning solutions
- Improve instructional design processes, including onboarding, project intake, review cycles, version control and content management workflows
- Support learning evaluation, reporting, dashboards, feedback surveys and participant assessment processes
- Advance artificial intelligence (AI)-enabled learning design through the adoption of emerging tools, practical use cases and enhanced learner experiences
- Serve as a key contact for designated service lines, niches or regions, building stakeholder relationships, supporting capability planning and informing learning priorities
Skills and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Education, Adult Learning, Instructional Design, Human Resources, Organizational Development, Business or a related discipline
- 5-8 years of progressive L&D experience, including curriculum development, instructional design, learning architecture and content design, ideally within a professional services environment
- 2+ years of people leadership experience, leading instructional designers, learning advisors or L&D professionals through coaching, workload management, performance development and project delivery
- Extensive knowledge of adult learning principles, instructional design methodologies such as Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation and Evaluation (ADDIE) and the Successive Approximation Model (SAM), curriculum design, learning pathways, assessment strategies and competency-based learning
- Proven experience designing and launching multimodal learning solutions, including instructor-led, virtual, e-learning, video, microlearning, blended learning and performance support tools
- Experience establishing and governing learning design standards, templates, style guides, quality assurance processes and content lifecycle management
- Proficiency with learning design and collaboration tools, including Articulate 360, Vyond, Camtasia, SharePoint, Microsoft 365, Adobe Creative Cloud and emerging AI-enabled design tools
- Knowledge of learning management systems (LMS), learner analytics, reporting and learning effectiveness measurement, including evaluation frameworks, learner feedback, learning transfer and business outcome alignment
- Strong stakeholder engagement, consulting and project leadership skills, with the ability to influence senior leaders, manage complex initiatives and deliver impactful learning solutions
- Certification in Instructional Design, Adult Education, Learning Experience Design or Change Management is considered an asset, including Certified Training and Development Professional (CTDP), Certified Training Practitioner (CTP), Associate Professional in Talent Development (APTD) or Certified Professional in Talent Development (CPTD)
- Written and verbal English language skills, with French considered an asset
