Contract Length: 12 Months
Work Type: Hybrid (In-office Monday, Tuesday & Thursday / Remote Wednesday & Friday)

Raise is currently hiring a contract team member on behalf of our client. They’re expanding their team to meet growing needs, making this a unique opportunity to work with an industry leader.

Job Overview:

The Supply Chain Expeditor plays a critical role in supporting the Supply Chain function by coordinating, expediting, and tracking all assigned equipment and material deliverables. These may include items required for the fulfillment of Purchase Orders (POs), contracts, or projects.
This role is responsible for proactively managing assigned deliverables through stakeholder collaboration, structured processes, and effective use of systems and tools. The Expeditor identifies potential risks, mitigates delays, and ensures timely delivery while maintaining strong relationships with vendors and internal stakeholders such as Engineering, Project Teams, Quality, and Logistics.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage assigned equipment and materials to ensure on-time readiness and delivery in alignment with project and construction schedules.
Proactively monitor vendor fabrication schedules, inspection plans, and production progress to identify and mitigate potential delays.
Notify stakeholders of actual or potential delays and collaborate with suppliers to resolve issues promptly.
Coordinate and manage vendor documentation (e.g., drawings, RFIs, ITPs, WPS, VDRs) between vendors, engineering teams, and project stakeholders to ensure timely review and approval.
Ensure all required documentation is complete, accurate, and properly approved where applicable.
Maintain organized and up-to-date electronic expediting records to support PO/contract closeout requirements.
Build and maintain strong working relationships with vendors and internal stakeholders, including Engineering, Project Teams, Contractors, Quality, and Logistics.
Schedule, lead, and document vendor meetings; participate in project meetings as required.
Provide regular status updates on material progress, delivery timelines, and receiving status using established reporting formats.
Identify and communicate technical and commercial risks or issues to project teams and stakeholders.
Support resolution of freight claims, shipment discrepancies (shortages/overages), tagging issues, and delivery errors.
Collaborate with logistics and construction teams to ensure site readiness for deliveries, including proper offloading arrangements.
Follow established expediting processes and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Assist with invoice verification to ensure accuracy.
Support onboarding, coaching, and mentoring of new hires, project personnel, and vendors on expediting processes.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Team Lead or Manager.

Scope:

Ensure timely and effective expediting of project-related materials and equipment.
Contribute to achieving project milestones within defined scope and timelines.
Drive adherence to document submission schedules and support completion of PO/contract closeouts.
Communicate clearly, accurately, and proactively with all stakeholders regarding project status and risks.

Working Relationships:

Internal: Expediting Team Lead, Manager, Senior Expeditors, Engineering, Project Teams, Procurement/Buyers, Logistics, Construction, Commissioning, Quality.
External: Vendors, Suppliers, Contractors, Engineering Consultants.

Qualifications:

Required:

3–4 years of experience in a fast-paced, project-based or supply chain environment.
Strong understanding of expediting best practices, logistics, procurement processes, and project documentation.
Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and follow up effectively.
Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) with high attention to detail.
Working knowledge of engineering and vendor documentation requirements.
Strong organizational, problem-solving, and customer service skills.
Combination of relevant education, training, and experience.

Preferred:

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word).
Familiarity with systems such as SharePoint, Oracle, and SAP.
Post-secondary education in Supply Chain Management, Project Management, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.

Working Conditions:

Primarily office-based role.
Occasional travel to supplier locations or project sites may be required.
