Purpose: Worley is hiring a Quality Director to lead a high-performing quality team and partner with the business to drive strong quality outcomes across Canada & Alaska. This role provides strategic direction, guidance, and thought leadership to ensure effective delivery of quality activities aligned with Worley’s values, risk appetite, and all applicable regulations, obligations, and laws. It reports to the Regional Head of Quality for the Americas.
Responsibilities:
- Oversees / facilitates implementation of Quality programs and tools as required; actively visiting work locations and sites to assess the risk and the effectiveness of practices in place and deliver to customer expectations.
- Challenges and influences internal and external stakeholders to apply human performance and to think differently about new ways of working.
- Reviews, tailors and communicate relevant and timely quality information to the right stakeholders. Contributes to continual improvement and achievement of stated performance objectives by driving the importance of capturing accurate data, elevating areas of trends and exposures, risks and emerging themes for both the sub-region and for individuals.
- Acts as a second line within the Worley governance model to ensure projects are setup for success, sub-region is governing and creating value for stakeholders.
· Lead, guide and develop Canada & Alaska quality teams performance plans, career progression and development opportunities.
- Provide senior leadership advocacy and sound advice across quality matters to sub-regional leadership team supporting both location and group needs.
- Work with and guide shared services collaboration and development associated with quality delivery to help teams improve service delivery.
· Maintain and direct ISO 9001 accreditation requirements across the sub-region to ensure compliance, value and protection for Worley.
- Develop customer networks, relationships and partnerships to strengthen Worley’s quality delivery outcomes in the market that enables us to be a world leader in energy transition.
- Keeps abreast of operational Quality risks, thought leadership and any changing regulations and legislation, and works with leaders to develop strategic objectives and deliver to customer expectations
- Provide governance towards of the Worley control environment (Project Quality Assurance and Quality Control) to verify the application and effectiveness of controls associated with delivering a more sustainable world.
- Provides direction and oversight to successfully set up and mobilise projects; facilitates team resources as required and actively visits work locations and sites to assess the risk and the effectiveness of practices in place and escalates emerging risks to location leadership.
- Contributes to continual improvement and achievement of performance objectives by driving the importance of capturing accurate data, elevating areas of trends to apply mitigation plans.
- Leads the development, implementation and guidance for projects, locations and sub-region to embed ‘Life’ (The Worley approach to HSE) as a value.
- Analyses risk-based assessment plans focused on high risk and critical projects that are in line with the business strategy, growth plans and Quality strategy.
- Challenges and influences internal and external stakeholders to apply human performance and bold ways of working; drives global Quality campaigns; and implements training for Quality programs, systems and associated Quality processes as required.
- Enhances learning paths within Quality group to provide clear expectations on duties, job profiles, career paths and management system to operational network.
- Collaborate globally to share best practice, lessons learnt and improve knowledge management. Contribute to the success of relevant internal and external networks. Participate as needed in global and cross regional/ business line project quality assurance activities.
- Develops and guides team members fostering one networked team collaboration to build and refine collective capabilities and knowledge assets.
- Strengthens functional communication, networking channels across the Americas.
- Act as a trusted partner to the sub-regional leadership team and deliver tasks independently with minimal supervision.
What you will bring:
Technical and Industry Experience:
- Strong track record of managing Quality in a large complex organization.
- Experience working within the Oil & Gas or Construction / Engineering industry. We are also open to considering candidates from other industries that demonstrate good technical knowledge of quality systems.
- Site / Project based experience is essential.
- Displays an outward orientation; knows how the global business works; is aware of investor requirements and respectful of cultural differences and community needs. Knows the competition and understands different laws and regulations governing the business and commercially astute.
- Deals with ambiguity, searches for foresight, challenges and facilitates thinking and creates aligned strategies to achieve mutually desired outcomes.
- Experience leading, developing and supporting multi-national teams

Required:
University Degree, or equivalent, in related field or applicable discipline.
