Hydrogeologist
Director, Principal Hydrogeologist
The Hydrogeologist is responsible for supporting and coordinating environmental and hydrogeological projects related to groundwater investigations, environmental assessments, remediation programs, water resource management, and regulatory compliance. The role involves project planning, field work and coordination, technical reporting, and ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget.

Pay: Min = $50,000.00 annually, Max = $90,000.00 annually, based on multiple factors such as skills and experience

Coordinate hydrogeological and environmental projects from planning through completion

Prepare and support technical reports, proposals, and deliverables, ensuring accuracy, clarity, and alignment with client expectations and regulatory standards

Support and oversee groundwater monitoring programs, aquifer testing, and environmental sampling activities

Conduct and coordinate field investigations including soil and groundwater sampling, water level monitoring, pump tests, hydraulic conductivity testing, and site inspections

Ensure projects comply with applicable environmental regulations, permits, and industry standards

Serve as a point of contact for clients, agencies, municipalities, and other stakeholders

Participate in project meetings and provide updates on project status.

Prepare invoices and manage project budgets

Support the growth of our internal team members, fostering a collaborative, learning-oriented team culture

Manage schedules and deliverables

Degree in environmental science, geology, physical geography, earth sciences, or a related field
-
Minimum 2-5 years of experience in environmental consulting, hydrogeology, groundwater assessment, or related field.

Experience coordinating environmental or water resource projects is considered an asset
-
Knowledge of groundwater flow principles, hydrogeological investigations, environmental regulations, and contaminated site assessment/remediation

Professional Geoscientist (P.Geo.) or similar designation, or designation in-progress

Strong project management skills, including budget tracking, scheduling, and team coordination across multiple projects

Effective communicator with demonstrated experience in client relations, proposal writing, and team mentorship

Valid G Class driver’s license and willingness to travel for fieldwork or client meetings and work events
