**Role Summary:**
As a Junior Baker at Crust Bakery, you will play a crucial role in our day-to-day Back of House operations. Reporting to the Kitchen Manager, you will be responsible for producing delectable baked goods, ensuring top-notch quality control, and contributing to the overall success of our bakery. You will receive comprehensive in-house training and will always have the guidance and support of a senior kitchen member/mentor.
**Location:**
730 Fort Street - Downtown, Victoria.
**Hours:**
- Full Time: Weekdays and/or Weekends
- Day Time Hours Only (5.00am start)
We are looking for both full-time and part-time Bakers to join our amazing, award-winning team!
**Compensation:**
- Negotiable starting at $20/hr, based on experience
- Share in the tips pool
**You Are:**
To be a successful applicant for this job, you must possess the following qualities:
- Some experience with baking (formal training is ideal but not necessary)
- Willingness to learn and be trained
- Ability to work quickly, accurately, and professionally
- Keen eye for detail and a strong sense of pride in your work
- Exceptionally neat, tidy, and well-organized
- Capable of following instructions and maintaining a routine
- Able to work both collaboratively and independently in a fast-paced environment
- Possession of a current food safe certificate
- Genuine love of food and baking
- Passionate and proud to be part of an awesome team that creates excellent food and provides outstanding service!
**Occupational Requirements:**
- Must be able to stand for up to 8 hours
- Must be able to bend, twist, and lift up to 50 lbs
- Must be able to start as early as 5 AM
- Minimum conversational-level proficiency in English
