Overview
Bropak Inc. is a plastic manufacturer located in Brantford, ON and is seeking an experienced Thermoforming Process Operator. The successful candidate will have proven understanding of production equipment, machine start/stop, troubleshooting, PM support, quality inspections and ensuring a safe work environment and maintaining production targets.

Responsibilities:
- Responsible to assist in training of temps and packers
- Coordinate and provides guidance to the operating structure of the production shift, assigning temporary and full-time staff as needed to complete operational tasks
- Operate forklift and other powered industrial vehicles as required such as transporting finished product, raw materials, and scrap materials
- Answer operating alarms and restarts machines
- Make frequent on-time quality checks on products being produced from established quality standards
- Make process adjustments to the production lines to ensure quality output as required
- Document daily production reports and completes all necessary paperwork that pertains to this position
- Ensure equipment and supplies are in working order and reports issues to the Plant Operations Manager
- Listen and positively reacts to concerns of the production products and participates in root cause corrections
- Support conversions of molds and inserts when requested
- Ensure the flow of production to packaging, and to the customer according to packaging specifications
- Responsible for assuring raw material flow and feed to the production lines.
- Management of all waste production and recycling for the Thermoforming and Extrusion department
- Assist with preventive maintenance as required and troubleshooting of required mechanical repairs
- Active participation on Health and Safety program
- Must adhere to the Company's Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)
- Ensure plant is maintained at a high standard of housekeeping
- Perform other duties for the benefit of the Company as required
- Promote and ensures adherence to all Company Rules and Safety Laws where applicable
Qualifications:
- Experience and knowledge of thermoforming and overall industrial plastics is required.
- Experience with fast pace good manufacturing practices and food/beverage operations a definite asset.
- Basic knowledge of mathematics for measuring parts accurately using calipers, micrometers, and other precision instruments.
- Minimum of 2 years' experience operating Thermoforming equipment.
- Experience with materials handling equipment such as forklifts; warehouse experience is a plus.
- Good communication skills combined with a proactive attitude toward safety and teamwork.
- Highschool level diploma or equivalent level education
Shift Times:
- 12 hour continental shift (7pm-7am)
- 3-4 days per week
- Night Shift ($1.00/HR Additional Premium)
