Kelly Services is proud to partner with a leading plastics manufacturer in Brantford to hire Production Operators for their growing extrusion and compounding team. What You’ll Be Doing
Operating assigned production processes including start‑ups, shutdowns, product changeovers, and troubleshooting.
Running twin‑screw compounding extruders, compaction and pulverizing equipment, and auxiliary systems (mixers, feeders, solids transfer).
Following established SOPs to ensure safe, consistent, and efficient production.
Supporting process development for new and existing products alongside engineering and production teams.
Operating plastic processing equipment such as extruders, grinders, mixers, packaging lines, and forklifts.
Performing quality checks on raw materials, in‑process samples, and finished products; reporting and segregating any out‑of‑spec material.
Completing general labour and housekeeping tasks to maintain a safe, clean work environment.
Physical Requirements
Ability to stack 55‑lb bags at a rate of up to 80 per hour.
Comfortable working in hot and occasionally dusty environments (respirator required in some areas; must be clean‑shaven for proper seal).
Ability to operate a forklift and heavy machinery throughout a 12‑hour shift.
What You Bring
Grade 12 diploma or equivalent.
Forklift certification or strong forklift experience preferred.
2–3 years of manufacturing experience, ideally in a process‑driven environment.
Experience with plastics production, twin‑screw extruders, or material handling systems is an asset.
Ability to set up, start up, and operate complex equipment.
Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to learn quickly.
A reliable, safety‑first mindset.
