Job Title: Finishing Helper/Sander
Key Responsibilities: Responsible for preparing and finishing product and ensure they meet the quality standards.
Location: Bracebridge, ON
Job Type: Full-time, permanent
Schedule: 4 DAY WORK WEEK! Monday to Thursday - 6:30 am - 5:00 pm
Salary: From $21-27/ hr (commensurate based on experience)

JOB SUMMARY
This role requires attention to detail, manual dexterity, and a commitment to producing quality finished product that meet our high standards. You will work closely with our production team contributing to the overall quality of our products.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Reporting to the Finishing Manager, the incumbent will be responsible for but not limited to the following tasks:
- Sanding wood surfaces to prepare them for staining or finishing.
- Cleaning and preparing surfaces using sanding tools and other equipment.
- Inspecting pieces for imperfections or damage and correcting them as necessary.
- Assisting in the application of coatings when required.
- Maintaining all equipment and ensuring it is in good working condition.
- Keeping work areas clean and organized.
- Adhering to safety rules, government regulations, and company policies and procedures.
- Ensuring the workplace remains a safe and clean environment.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Previous experience in a woodworking, millwork, or manufacturing environment is an asset.
- Knowledge of finishing is an asset.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Ability to work with equipment and other tools safely and efficiently.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Physical ability to stand for long periods and handle materials in a production environment.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Computer skills.
