Position Type: 5 days per week, up to 40 hours/week, with mandatory weekend rotations during peak real estate season (Mid-March until the end of October)

Position Overview
We are seeking a highly organized, dependable and flexible Construction and Real Estate Assistant to support both our busy Construction/Design-Build and Real Estate businesses.
This position works closely with our senior project management, interior design and real estate teams, providing a combination of project coordination, procurement, administrative support, property support and day-to-day operational assistance.
The role will support operations for both our Port Carling and Port Severn offices, with office opening and closing responsibilities required for the Port Carling office only.
This is an ideal position for someone who enjoys variety, is highly organized, takes initiative and is comfortable moving between construction projects, interior design procurement, real estate properties and office support as priorities change.
Construction & Design-Build Responsibilities
Working directly with the Lead Project Manager and Lead Interior Designer, responsibilities may include:
- Assist with procurement of construction materials, finishes, fixtures, furniture and décor.
- Source products and materials as directed by the project management and design teams
- Pick up and deliver materials, samples, fixtures, furnishings and other project-related items.
- Assist the Lead Interior Designer with sourcing, sample organization and finish selections
- Coordinate with suppliers, trades and installers as required.
- Attend project sites as required to assist with deliveries, organization and other project-related needs
- Assist with general errands and time-sensitive tasks required to keep projects moving efficiently.
Real Estate & Office Support Responsibilities
In addition to the construction and design-build responsibilities, this position will provide flexible support to our busy real estate team, particularly during the peak season (Mid-March through to the end of October) .
Responsibilities may include:
- Prepare properties prior to showings, including ensuring lights are on, doors are accessible and the property is presentation-ready.
- Close and secure properties following showings.
- Assist with opening and closing the Port Carling office only during the week and scheduled weekend rotations.
- Assist with the placement and removal of real estate signs, directional signage and marketing materials.
- Deliver and pick up keys, lockboxes, documents and other property-related items.
- Assist with preparing listings for photography, videography and showings.
- Assist with listings, MLS and Website uploading
- Pick up and deliver brochures, marketing materials, office supplies and other items.
- Assist with organization of signage, listing supplies and marketing materials (brochures and window cards)
- Assist with occasional errands and other time-sensitive tasks related to listings and client properties.
- Coordinate with the real estate team regarding weekend showing schedules and property access.
Schedule & Flexibility
This position will generally be 5 days per week, depending on workload and seasonal requirements.
Mandatory weekend rotations are an important part of this position. Weekend responsibilities may include opening and closing the Port Carling office.
The successful candidate must have a flexible schedule and be comfortable with the seasonal nature of both the construction/design-build and real estate businesses.

- Real estate showings
- Listing activity
- Office coverage
- Seasonal workload
- Other operational requirements
Qualifications & Requirements
- Valid driver’s licence and access to a reliable vehicle.
- Must live in or have the ability to commute reliably within the Muskoka area
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and schedules
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Comfortable working independently as well as part of a team.
- Basic computer applications including Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel.
- Experience with PowerPoint, Dropbox and Google Chrome would be an asset.
- Comfortable learning and using construction and real estate software platforms.
- Comfortable travelling between our project sites, suppliers and real estate properties throughout the seasons as required.
- Ability to handle occasional lifting and movement of samples, supplies, signage and smaller project items (30 to 40lbs)
- Must be available for scheduled weekend rotations.

Compensation
$19 per hour
Mileage will be paid for approved business-related travel using the employee’s personal vehicle.
This is an in-person position based primarily out of our Port Carling office, with support provided to our Port Severn office, construction project sites and real estate properties as required.
