Spinzy is a Calgary-based event experience company providing premium selfie photobooths, 360 photobooths, instant photo printing, and interactive event experiences for weddings, corporate events, graduations, private parties, and community events.
We are seeking a friendly, energetic, and professional Photobooth Attendant to join our team on a part-time basis. This role is perfect for individuals who enjoy interacting with people, creating memorable experiences, and working in a fun event environment.
As a Photobooth Attendant, you will be the face of Spinzy at events, helping guests enjoy our photobooths while ensuring equipment operates smoothly throughout the event. The ideal candidate is dependable, organized, tech-savvy, and passionate about providing outstanding customer service.
Most shifts take place on weekends, particularly Friday and Saturday evenings, and may extend into late-night hours.
Responsibilities
- Transport photobooth equipment to and from event venues
- Set up, operate, and dismantle selfie photobooths, 360 photobooths, backdrops, and photo printers
- Assist guests with taking photos and videos, providing guidance on poses and booth features
- Create a welcoming and engaging experience for guests of all ages
- Ensure guests are comfortable, entertained, and having a positive experience
- Monitor photo printing and replenish supplies as needed
- Troubleshoot basic technical issues to ensure uninterrupted operation
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the photobooth area before, during, and after events
- Organize and manage props and event materials
- Communicate professionally with clients, venue staff, and guests
- Complete event setup and teardown according to company procedures
- Safely load, unload, and care for company equipment
Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle
- Ability to lift and carry equipment weighing up to 25 lbs
- Previous customer service, hospitality, retail, or event experience preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Friendly, professional, and outgoing personality
- Comfortable speaking with and assisting groups of guests
- Tech-savvy and able to quickly learn new equipment and software
- Organized, trustworthy, dependable, and punctual
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Professional appearance and attire required at all events
- Available to work evenings, weekends, and late-night shifts, especially Fridays and Saturdays
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working at events, weddings, corporate functions, or hospitality venues
- Experience working with children and families
- Experience with photography, audiovisual equipment, or event technology
- Experience troubleshooting basic technology issues
- Public speaking or guest engagement experience
Physical Requirements
- Load, unload, transport, and set up event equipment
- Stand for extended periods during events
- Lift and carry equipment weighing up to 25 lbs
- Work at both indoor and outdoor venues
