Initial / primary role :
We are in need of an Electroneurophysiology Technologist (EEG Tech) / Consultant to work on preparing and establishing our in-house EEG lab. The EEG Tech /Consultant will take lead on the project and will be supported by the Medical Director, Neurology and clinic General Manager, and other support staff.
The EEG Tech / Consultant will need to have enough experience and knowledge to work on information gathering, preparing policies, procedures and standards as deemed necessary to submit for CPSA accreditation.
Required Qualifications:
- Active or eligible for registration with the Alberta College of Medical Diagnostic and Therapeutic Technologists (ACMDTT).
- Previous experience in clinical Neurophysiology in a pediatric and adult settings
- Prior experience in a Clinical Neurophysiology Lab.
- Capable to develop and write/document clinic policies, processess and procedures as required to attain CPSA accreditation based on standards
- Ability to work collaboratively on a multidisciplinary team.
Additional Qualifications:
Current ENP License with the Alberta College of Medical Diagnostic and Therapeutic Technologists (ACDMTT). Successful completion of the Canadian Board of Registration of EEG Technologists (CBRET) examinations or equivalent. Demonstrates effective interpersonal skills with patients, families and other staff. Demonstrated ability to lead teams and engage them in change management processes. Demonstrates ability to be flexible in dealing with changing/unpredictable situations. Transferring of patients and equipment is required. Demonstrated understanding of a Family Centered Care Service delivery model.
