About the Opportunity
The Director of Human Resources is a strategic partner to the CEO and executive team, responsible for building the organizational structure and people strategy required to support our 2x growth plan. Operating in a fast-paced, seasonal environment, this role balances high-level strategy with hands-on execution.
This leader will build strong cross-functional partnerships across Operations, Merchandising, Finance, Payroll, and the Temporary Foreign Worker Program, while directly leading the HR team, Recruitment team, and Health & Safety Coordinator.
Key Responsibilities

Develop and lead workforce planning, organizational design, and succession strategy aligned with growth objectives

Develop and strengthen HR as a proactive business partner across functions

Oversee total rewards and compensation strategy in partnership with Finance and Leadership

Embed leadership standards and performance expectations grounded in GRIT values

Ensure compliance with employment standards, human rights, and health & safety legislation across provinces

Build scalable talent acquisition and onboarding systems to support seasonal growth

Own HR metrics and reporting to support data-driven decision-making

Coach, develop, and lead a high-performing HR team
What You Bring
-
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field

CPHR designation preferred
-
7+ years progressive HR experience, including 3+ years in senior leadership

Proven experience having built and scaled HR infrastructure

Experience in high-volume, seasonal, or multi-site environments

Strong knowledge of Canadian employment legislation

Experience leading and developing HR teams

Familiarity with Temporary Foreign Worker programs is an asset
