Role Overview
We are looking for a skilled and motivated IT Specialist to join our team and serve our growing network of long-term care and retirement clients in the Windsor area. In this remote and field-based role in the Windsor area, you will be the primary on-site technical resource for a portfolio of facilities, providing proactive support, resolving technical issues, and helping ensure that technology works seamlessly for front-line care staff. You will work directly with facility administrators and staff, so clear communication and a genuine commitment to service excellence are essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide on-site and remote IT support to a portfolio of long-term care and retirement facilities in the Windsor region and across North America
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network issues in a timely and professional manner
- Administer and support Microsoft 365 environments including Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, and Intune
- Support Azure-based infrastructure including identity management, virtual machines, and conditional access policies
- Onboard new users and manage accounts, permissions, and device configurations
- Maintain accurate asset inventories and documentation for each client site
- Coordinate with vendors and third-party service providers as required
- Communicate technical information clearly to non-technical staff and administrators
- Proactively identify opportunities to improve client environments and escalate appropriately
- Documentation in the Motivus ticketing system, with attention to prioritizing and closing tickets in alignment with customer SLA’s
- Updating Motivus knowledge base and documenting customer information
- Adhere to PHIPA and privacy best practices given the sensitive nature of data in healthcare settings
Required QualificationsExperience
- Minimum 5 years of experience in an IT support or systems administration role
- Demonstrated hands-on experience supporting Microsoft 365 and Azure environments
- Experience working directly with end users in a client-facing or field service capacity
Microsoft Certifications (Required)
Applicants must hold at least one current Microsoft certification relevant to 365 or Azure administration. The following certifications are recognized:

- Microsoft 365 Certified: Messaging Administrator Associate (MS-203)
- Microsoft 365 Certified: Security Administrator Associate (MS-500)

- Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals (AZ-900)
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104)
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert (AZ-305)
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Network Engineer Associate (AZ-700)
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Security Engineer Associate (AZ-500)
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Virtual Desktop Specialty (AZ-140)
Other Requirements
- Valid Ontario driver's license and reliable personal vehicle (travel to client sites is required)
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical users
- Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and exercise sound judgment in the field
- Professional, patient, and empathetic manner when working in care environment settings
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting IT in healthcare, long-term care, or regulated environments
- Familiarity with PHIPA and Ontario healthcare privacy requirements
- Experience with network infrastructure including firewalls, switches, and wireless access points
- CompTIA A+, Network+, or Security+ certifications are an asset

Pay: $60,000.00-$80,000.00 per year
