Job Summary
We are seeking dedicated Stagehands and Certified and Experienced Forklift Operators to join our production team on a casual, irregular, as-needed basis. This is an event-driven role perfect for those looking for flexible, lucrative, supplementary work behind the scenes of major live events.
While our crew works a variety of premier venues across Edmonton (including Rogers Place, Northern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium, Commonwealth Stadium, Edmonton Expo Centre, Citadel Theatre, Francis Winspear Centre for Music, and others), our biggest upcoming stadium dates are at Commonwealth Stadium.

Compensation & Premium Pay Rates (Varies by venue)
- Stagehand Rate: $34.65 / hour
- Night Premium (10:00 PM – 8:00 AM) & Sundays (1.5x): $51.98/ hour
- Forklift Operator Rate: $38.35 / hour (Must hold valid certification and be experienced)
- Night Premium (10:00 PM – 8:00 AM) & Sundays (1.5x): $57.53 / hour
- 4-Hour Minimum Call: Every shift you are called in for guarantees a minimum of 4 hours of pay.

Mandatory Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) & Tools
To be permitted on site, you must bring and wear the following gear to every shift. Candidates without proper equipment will be turned away:
- Hard Hat
- Steel-Toed Boots
- High-Visibility Vest
- Work Gloves
- Long Pants
- Sleeved Shirts
- Standard Claw Hammer (REQUIRED FOR COMMONWEALTH STADIUM ONLY; not required for other indoor theatre/arena venues)
Duties & Responsibilities
- Stagehand Crew: Assist with the physical build, installation, and strike of massive stage structures, lighting rigs, audio stacks, and video walls. Pushing equipment boxes, running heavy cabling, and assisting with gear placement.
- Forklift Crew: Safely and efficiently operate equipment to unload transport trucks, move heavy production steel, transport delicate AV gear assets across the venue, and support the ground crew.
- Safety Adherence: Strictly follow all site safety protocols, crew lead instructions, and venue guidelines to keep the job site safe for everyone.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Forklift Drivers: Must possess a valid, current forklift operators ticket/certification and have proven experience operating in tight, fast-paced environments.
- Availability: Must be comfortable with a casual work schedule. Shifts vary based on event load-in and load-out requirements.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand, walk, bend, push heavy cases, and lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly. Must be comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Punctuality: Venue schedules are incredibly strict. You must be reliable, on time, and ready to work when your call time starts.
- Experience: Prior experience in stage production, concert audio/visual, event setup, or general construction is a major asset, but not required for general stagehands. Strong work ethic and willingness to take direction are what matter most.

Next Steps & Stage Orientation
- Permit Registration: Once your emailed application is processed and approved, you will be added to our roster as a registered permit. You will receive a confirmation email within 1-4 weeks.
- Stage Orientation: We will be holding an upcoming stage orientation. Registration for this orientation will open up to you once your permit registration is complete. We will email you with these details later on once the orientation dates are finalized.
