The Ingersoll Nurse Practitioner-Led Clinic is recruiting 1 full time permanent Primary Health Care Nurse Practitioners (MRP) for our Tillsonburg clinic.

The successful candidate will work 37.5 hours per week that will include four (4) day shifts (8:30am- 4pm) and one (1) evening shift on Tuesdays (12pm- 7:30pm) to accommodate our extended hours.

Responsibilities
The Nurse Practitioner role includes the following core responsibilities:
- The successful candidate will act as Most Responsible Provider (MRP) and be responsible for building a practice of patients, providing holistic, evidence-based full scope primary care, chronic disease management, preventative care, and health promotion. Target panel size of approximately 950 patients.
- Provide care that upholds the Standards of Practice: Nurse Practitioner (College of Nurses of Ontario) and the Canadian Nurse Practitioner Core Competency Framework (Canadian Nurses Association);
- Provides care that is based on evidence-based practice and quality standards within the context of a philosophy of nursing;
- Promote and participates in an interdisciplinary team model
- Demonstrate a commitment to workplace wellness that includes a respectful work environment, work-life balance, and self-care.
- Identify the patient, family and caregivers as fully engaged participants in their care.
Requirements
- Master of Nursing Degree
- Completion of a Primary Health Care Nurse Practitioner Program
- Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario as a Registered Nurse in the Extended Class with a specialty designation in Primary Health Care (NP – PHC) with no restrictions
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Commitment to workplace wellness
- Ability to work extended hours one day per week (Tuesday evenings)
- Ability to travel as required
- Proficiency with using an EMR, preferably Practice Solutions (PSS Telus)
- Excellent written and oral communication
- Excellent organizational skills
- Member of the Nurse Practitioner Association of Ontario (NPAO) preferred
- Current proof of professional liability insurance
- Current Basic Cardiac Life Support certificate
- Current police vulnerable screening check
SALARY & BENEFITS
- Annual salary: $128,000, subject to adjustment in accordance with Ministry of Health funding guidelines
