Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dynamic Sous Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership qualities, extensive kitchen experience, and a passion for delivering exceptional food service. As a vital part of our restaurant management, the Sous Chef will assist the Executive Chef in overseeing daily kitchen operations, ensuring food quality, safety, and efficient team management. This role offers an exciting opportunity for someone with a background in the food industry to advance their career in a fast-paced hospitality environment.

Responsibilities

Assist in supervising kitchen staff to ensure smooth daily operations and high standards of food preparation
Oversee food handling, safety protocols, and sanitation procedures to maintain compliance with health regulations
Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and quality standards
Manage food inventory, ordering supplies as needed to ensure consistent availability of ingredients
Lead by example in food presentation, plating, and overall culinary excellence
Support team management by training new staff and providing ongoing mentorship to foster a collaborative work environment
Collaborate with restaurant management on menu development, special events, and service improvements
Ensure timely serving of dishes while maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction

Experience

Proven supervising experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting, preferably as a Sous Chef or similar leadership role
Extensive background in food preparation, cooking, and food service operations
Strong knowledge of food safety standards and proper handling techniques
Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage a diverse team effectively
Experience working within the food industry, including restaurant management and kitchen operations
Familiarity with hospitality best practices and serving techniques
Excellent communication skills with a focus on team management and customer service excellence

This position is ideal for a dedicated culinary professional eager to contribute their expertise in a vibrant restaurant environment.

Pay: $56,000.00-$60,000.00 per year
