Company Overview

Durham Furniture is a Canadian manufacturer of premium solid wood bedroom furniture with approximately 160 employees. For over 125 years, we have built a reputation for craftsmanship, quality, and long-term stability. Our technology environment supports manufacturing, warehousing, sales, customer service, and administration functions across the organization.

We are seeking a motivated and hands-on IT Systems Administrator to support and maintain the technology systems that keep our business running.

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys solving problems, working independently, and supporting a wide range of technologies in a manufacturing environment. As the primary IT resource for the company, you will work closely with employees across all departments to ensure reliable, secure, and efficient technology operations.

What You'll Do

Support and maintain servers, networks, workstations, wireless systems, and telecommunications infrastructure.
Provide day-to-day technical support to office, warehouse, and production employees.
Administer user accounts, security permissions, backups, and cybersecurity measures.
Support ERP, reporting, barcode, labeling, and other business-critical applications.
Manage relationships with software, hardware, telecommunications, and IT service providers.
Troubleshoot system, network, and application issues and coordinate resolutions.
Assist with technology projects, system upgrades, and process improvement initiatives.
Maintain documentation and support business continuity and disaster recovery planning.
Participate in occasional after-hours maintenance and support activities when required.

What We're Looking For

Strong technical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
Experience supporting business technology systems, networks, and users.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
Strong communication skills and a customer-service mindset.
Experience in a manufacturing environment is an asset.
Experience with ERP systems, Microsoft SQL Server, networking, cybersecurity, virtualization, or cloud technologies is beneficial but not required.
