Company Description

We are a small dynamic architectural practice located in Nanaimo, Vancouver Island, B.C. Our projects emphasis a regional identity and sustainable design. We undertake a wide variety of project types and sizes, primarily within the mid Vancouver Island region.

We are seeking a broadly experienced, skilled individual with a strong design capability to assist in project design, construction drawings, and contract administration.

We are seeking a broadly experienced, skilled individual with a strong design capability to assist in project design, construction drawings, and contract administration.

Qualifications

Strong design thinker.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills to work positively and effectively with project teams, clients, contractors, and authorities.
Expected to be self directed, attention to detail, thorough, consistent, and capable of working to deadlines.
Excellent graphic skills and 3D visualization tools such as Sketch Up, Photoshop/ In Design.
Excellent cadd capability (Vectorworks Architect an asset).
Knowledge of the BC Building Code, municipal bylaws, and environmental regulations/ standards.
Knowledge of building science, local construction technology, and west coast building envelope principles.
Knowledge of green building design, sustainable development, LEED, and Passive Haus.
Be self motivated to continual learning and be registered or eligible to be registered with the AIBC.
Minimum 3 years post graduate work experience.
