Centerline Geomatics is currently seeking full-time Survey Crew Chiefs to join our team in the Fort McMurray region – however, residing in Fort McMurray is not mandatory.

Centerline Geomatics has multiple long-term projects in the Fort McMurray region (2-4 years) with accommodations and flights provided. These are Union jobs (OE955) with starting rates of $46.90 to $53.35 depending on your ability. Centerline also has excellent rates if you would like to run your own truck.

Centerline Geomatics provides support to clients all over Canada, with the majority being in Alberta and the majority of that being in the Oil Sands around Fort McMurray. Since its inception in 2007, Centerline has grown from two employees to over 40 and provides surveying, geomatics, and geotechnical services. We are committed to protecting the health and safety of all employees and ensuring our activities are not harmful to the environment and the greater community. Centerline Geomatics stands behind its motto, “Exceeding Your Expectations”, by providing services that go over and above the standards expected by our clients.

Duties:

Perform survey calculations for field staking
Layout piles and mark cut-off elevations
High precision grade staking and elevations surveys
Complete detailed as-built surveys
Complete legal surveys
Prepare and submit field notes and digital survey data daily
Adhere to Centerline standards, procedures, and health and safety program

Qualifications: 2-5 years of experience running a survey crew Able to prepare legible and complete field notes

In-depth knowledge of Trimble or Leica survey equipment
Experience locating underground facilities is an asset
AutoCAD, Civil 3-D, and Trimble Business Office software knowledge as an asset
Experience with 3D scanning and Faro equipment is an asset
Experience working with a drone and digital aerial photos is an asset
Self-motivated and possesses effective time management skills
The ability to work out of town is an asset
