Position Summary
Under the supervision of the Distribution Centre Operations Manager, the Traffic Clerk is responsible for assisting in the day to day operations of the Traffic Office including all Inbound activities and supporting all Outbound activities for the Traffic Coordinator and to ensure the completion of all ancillary Traffic related documentation and record-keeping.
Key Responsibilities
Under the supervision of the Distribution Centre Operations Manager, the key responsibilities of the role are:
- Assist in the coordination and scheduling of all Inbound Activities including Truck arrivals, PO’s, Furtherance, Cross-docks and Hybrids
- Review, investigate and resolve any and all receiving discrepancies prior to submission into the ERP and file accordingly as required
- Support & assist the Traffic Coordinator in the day to day decision-making on all Outbound activities including the hiring of trucks, freight rate setting and scheduled pick-up decisions
- Support and ensure the Outbound Pick-tickets and manifests are distributed to appropriate staff for timely order assembly with the shipping schedule
- Create, manage and record all outbound documentation in support of the Traffic Coordination activities
- Execution of orders and final shipping procedures in our ERP
- Create, manage and follow-up on pick-errors, stock rotation schedules, Dangerous Goods adjustments, Forklift pre-trip information filing requirements, pallet control any other related activities
- Coordinate training and recertification within the traffic department and warehouse
- Maintain our safety programs records including first aid and equipment maintenance checklists
- Manage and coordinate RGA processing, Credit Requests and Claims for the Customer/Dealer network
- Assist in the running of our cycle count program and the investigation of discrepancies
Qualifications
- Logistics background (work experience and/or education)
- Computer Savvy & experience with the Microsoft Office Suite products (Word, Excel etc.)
- Analytical skills to support decision-making and continuous improvement opportunities

Pay: $50,000.00-$53,000.00 per year
