Overview
Experience: 4-5 Years

Fixed term contract - 6 months

We are seeking a detail-oriented and technically skilled Quality Assurance Tester with 4-5 years of experience to join our software development team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for testing a wide range of applications across multiple platforms, ensuring high-quality deliverables through meticulous testing processes.

Key Responsibilities

Develop Test Strategies, Test Plans, test cases, and testing estimates based on business requirements and user stories.
Execute Functional, Integration, System, Regression, End-to-End, UAT, Migration, Backend, and Exploratory Testing.
Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Selenium, TestNG, and BDD/TDD frameworks such as Cucumber.
Perform database and backend testing using SQL and PL/SQL, including data validation, migration, and conversion testing.
Create and maintain test data, execute test scenarios, and ensure traceability between requirements and test cases.
Identify, document, prioritize, and track defects through resolution using Jira and related tools.
Collaborate with Developers, Product Owners, Business Analysts, and stakeholders throughout the SDLC.
Support Agile and Waterfall delivery models, including sprint planning, release planning, and UAT activities.
Produce test metrics, dashboards, and quality reports for stakeholders.
Drive continuous improvement of testing processes, automation frameworks, and quality practices.

Must have:

Minimum 4 years of QA testing experience.
Strong experience in Test Strategy, Test Planning, and Test Execution.
Hands-on experience with Selenium, TestNG, Cucumber, and test automation frameworks.
Strong SQL and PL/SQL skills with experience in backend/database testing.
Experience with Jira, Confluence, Git, Jenkins, and CI/CD pipelines.
Experience testing cloud-based and mainframe applications.
Strong understanding of Agile, Waterfall, SDLC, STLC, and UAT methodologies.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Pay: $85,000.00-$90,000.00 per year

Work Location: Hybrid remote in Toronto, ON (Toronto District)
