Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Production Shift Clerk to join our manufacturing team. This role is essential in maintaining smooth production operations during the shift, ensuring accurate documentation, and supporting overall workflow. The ideal candidate will have a general understanding of manufacturing processes and warehouse procedures. Reporting to the Manufacturing Manager, this role coordinates the day-to-day logistics in the Toronto production plant. The role ensures coordination between shipments, scheduling and work orders.
Duties
- Verifying shipping documentation for ship confirms - tank wagons, rail cars, EC coatings in JD Edwards.
- Creating and matching packing slips on customer websites.
- Coordinating and issuing BOLs to drivers for corresponding jobs.
- Calculating and verifying weights before ship confirms are entered – Rail car strapping.
- Generating and completing a carrier performance report.
- Managing and filing work orders.
- Ensuring all shipments have quality certificates and investigating if there are delays in quality certificates being issued.
- Maintaining seal logs in compliance with CTPAT requirements.
- Coordinating driver scheduling with work orders.
- Ensuring through follow-up, that all software issues are resolved.
- Managing a visitor log.
- Generating monthly production reports.
- Maintaining scheduling log for various customers.
- Assisting in the transition to Shop Floor.
Unique knowledge & Experience:
- High School graduation
- Computer literacy – Sound working knowledge of MS Suite
- Excellent communication skills
- Logistics experience is an asset
- Experience working with JD Edwards is preferred but not required

Pay: $45,000.00-$55,000.00 per year

Work Location: In person
