Job Overview
True View Window Cleaning is a student-led, entrepreneurship-driven window cleaning business built by Western / Ivey students. We're hiring Summer Window Cleaning Technicians who want real-world experience in operations, customer service, and working as part of a growing business.
No experience needed! You'll learn to use professional window-cleaning equipment, including a Water-Fed Pole (WFP) system and modern tools that make the work faster, safer, and higher quality. We train you step-by-step on the system and our process.
IMPORTANT: This role is commission-based. You earn a percentage based on the jobs you complete. Compensation structure and performance expectations will be discussed during onboarding.
How the Role Works (Schedule & Structure)
- We operate cleaning crews that complete residential window cleaning appointments throughout the week.
- Cleaning Technicians are contacted and scheduled as appointments become available based on demand and team availability.
- Most jobs are completed in teams of 2 workers.
- Average cleaning shifts are approximately 6–7 hours/day, depending on job volume and appointment locations.
ResponsibilitiesA) Cleaning (Service Delivery)
- Work in a 2-person team to complete residential window cleaning jobs.
- Use professional equipment, including Water-Fed Pole (WFP) systems and other cleaning tools.
- Follow training standards focused on safety and quality workmanship.
- Communicate professionally with homeowners while on-site.
- Track/log completed jobs (notes/photos when required) to maintain quality and accountability.
- Assist with loading, transporting, and organizing equipment.
- Maintain a professional appearance and represent the company positively.
Sick Days / Coverage Rules
- If someone can't make it, coverage is arranged and pay can be adjusted for that day based on completed work (explained during onboarding).
Requirements
- MUST have access to a car (large enough to fit equipment/ladder logistics and getting to jobs).
- Absence policy: planned absences must be communicated a minimum of 10 weeks in advance.
- Coachable, reliable, willing to work outdoors, and able to work effectively as part of a team.
- Comfortable working in varying weather conditions.
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs and have the physical capacity to complete tasks (walking, standing, bending, climbing, carrying equipment).
Training & Support
- Training provided for all cleaning equipment, safety procedures, and service standards.
- Performance tracking/logging so you can see progress and improve quickly.
- Optional True View team shirts/gear will be provided and organized.
Job Types: Part-time, Fixed term contract, Casual, Seasonal, Internship / Co-op
Pay: $19.00-$30.00 per hour
