Quik's Farm Ltd. is a wholesale cut flower grower based in Chilliwack, BC, with over 20 acres of indoor and an additional 35 acres of seasonal outdoor growing space. This position offers you an opportunity to be part of a dynamic, fun-loving, and growing team!We are currently hiring a highly motivated Purchasing Assistant to provide next-level support, organization, and accountability within our rapidly evolving procurement department. You will be assisting our Lead Purchasing Coordinator to ensure all necessary purchasing data is up to date, purchase orders are created, and inventory is managed effectively and efficiently.
To ensure your success as a purchasing assistant, you should possess excellent interpersonal skills and highly organized data management skills. As an outstanding purchasing assistant, you will be someone who utilizes systems and software to provide solutions and transparency in the background and ensures a seamless inter-departmental flow of information. This position reports directly to the Lead Purchasing Coordinator.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Monitor accurate inventory levels for both fresh product and hard goods across the company.
- Track monthly price trends from multiple suppliers and vendors, ensuring sales and production information remains relevant.
- Provide summary data for purchased goods for key events, providing analysis of trends, usage, and pricing.
- Maintain proper records of certifications, vendor agreements, and international trade agreements.
- Assist with preparation and issuance of purchase orders.
- Ensure follow-through for quality assurance of received goods.
- Maintain database records accurately and effectively.
- Work closely with the Lead Purchasing Coordinator to ensure required orders are placed and fulfilled to support sales and production needs.
- Attend meetings with vendors, take notes of discussions, and ensure timely follow-up.
Qualifications:
- Able to lift, carry, and move a minimum of 25 lbs.

- Completion of high school and/or applicable post-secondary education

This position may require you to work on Saturdays and statutory holidays. There will be no Sunday work.
