We are currently hiring for a Second Cook.

What will you be doing?

As a Second Cook, you will support daily food production in a high-volume commissary kitchen, preparing items for a wide range of events including banquets, weddings, and off-site catering. This role is ideal for a developing cook who is eager to build skills, gain experience across multiple stations, and grow within a professional kitchen.

Prepare and produce food for on-site and off-site events
Assist with daily production planning and execution
Work across both hot and cold kitchen stations
Support transportation and setup of food for service
Maintain organized mise en place and proper food storage
Assist with inventory, receiving, and product rotation
Follow standardized recipes and food safety practices
Minimize waste and support food cost control
Work collaboratively with the culinary team in a fast-paced environment
Maintain a clean, safe, and efficient workspace

What We're Looking For?

Culinary diploma or certificate from a recognized institution
1–2 years of kitchen experience (catering or high-volume preferred)
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Willingness to learn, take direction, and develop new skills
Passion for food and attention to detail
Food Handler Certification
Reliable transportation
Flexibility to work days, evenings, weekends, holidays, and split shifts

Physical requirements:

Must be able to lift and transport up to 50 pounds
Must be able to stand for long periods of time (for up to and more than 8 hours)
Must be able to work in both, hot and cold (fridge/freezer) environments
