Speech Language Pathologist (Early Childhood Services)
Reports To: ECS Director
Schedule: Full Time
Beacon Heights ECS is seeking a passionate Speech Language Pathologist to join our interdisciplinary team supporting children with diverse communication, developmental, behavioural, and learning needs.
This role provides a unique opportunity to work directly within an educational environment where therapy strategies can be integrated into everyday learning experiences. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with teachers, educational assistants, occupational therapists, behaviour therapists, and families to support children's communication development, school readiness, and overall success.

We are looking for a speech language pathologist who is passionate about helping children build meaningful communication skills while working collaboratively with families and educational teams.
Overview of Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech and language assessments and contribute to individualized programming recommendations
- Develop goals and intervention strategies based on each child's strengths and needs Provide direct and indirect speech language intervention services
- Collaborate with teachers, educational assistants, occupational therapists, behaviour consultants, and families
- Support communication development within classroom routines and daily learning activities
- Provide coaching and consultation to staff and families
- Contribute to Individualized Program Plans and student progress reporting
- Participate in interdisciplinary meetings and collaborative planning
- Support school readiness, social communication, and language development goals
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and professional records
- Assist families in understanding communication goals and strategies that can be implemented at home
Position Requirements:
- Master's Degree in Speech Language Pathology Registered member and in good standing with the Alberta College of Speech-Language Pathologists and Audiologists (ACSLPA)
- Professional liability insurance
- Valid class 5 drivers license
- Experience working with preschool and kindergarten aged children is preferred
- Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills
- Ability to work effectively within an interdisciplinary team
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Current First Aid/CPR certification or willingness to obtain
- Current Vulnerable Sector Check and Child Intervention Check
