About the Role
We are seeking a motivated and highly detail-oriented Quality Assurance Technician who will be responsible for ensuring that all products, components, and systems meet Current Scientific Corporation’s quality, reliability, and performance standards. This role supports both incoming and outgoing quality control processes, executes product testing, and contributes to continuous improvement initiatives within an ISO 9001:2015 quality framework.
The position works closely with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Production teams to validate electro-optical systems and ensure products are ready for deployment in demanding environments.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Quality Control & Inspection
- Perform incoming inspection of components, harnesses, PCBs, and assemblies to verify conformance with specifications
- Conduct final QC checks prior to shipment to ensure product quality and completeness
- Identify, document, and escalate non-conformances in a timely manner
Testing & Validation
- Execute functional and performance testing of electro-optical systems and supporting equipment
- Perform system-level validation including cameras, sensors, and integrated assemblies
- Conduct environmental and reliability testing (e.g., thermal, vibration, or field-simulation testing where required)
- Record, analyze, and report test results with a high level of accuracy and detail
Production & Configuration Support
- Support the configuration and setup of components for production builds
- Assist in troubleshooting defective or non-conforming products
- Collaborate with manufacturing teams to ensure quality is maintained throughout the build process
Quality Systems & Continuous Improvement
- Actively participate in the ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System
- Support documentation updates including test procedures, work instructions, and QC checklists
- Contribute to root cause analysis (RCA) and corrective action processes (CAPA)
- Identify opportunities to improve testing processes, product quality, and efficiency
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:
Education & Experience
- Diploma or certification in Electrical, Computer, Mechatronics Engineering, or a related technical field
- 1–3+ years of experience in quality assurance, testing, or manufacturing environments (preferred)
- Experience with electro-mechanical or electro-optical systems is an asset
Technical Skills
- Experience performing hands-on testing and inspections of electronic or mechanical systems
- Familiarity with test equipment and diagnostic tools
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics, and specifications
- Understanding of QA/QC processes and documentation practices

SALARY RANGE: $45,000 – $50,000 annually, with potential for higher compensation for exceptional qualifications and experience.
