Studio Assistant — Manjot Kaur Studio

About the Studio
Manjot Kaur Studio is an active fine art studio based in West Abbotsford, BC. We are currently seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Studio Assistant to support ongoing painting and production work.
Responsibilities
∙ Execute detailed watercolour and gouache paintings on paper and prepared wooden surfaces to a high standard of technical precision
∙ Apply colour fills accurately according to specified palettes and directives
∙ Prepare wooden boards by applying multiple coats of gesso, sanding and smoothing the surface between each coat to achieve a refined finish
∙ Assist with general studio organization, cleaning and production tasks as needed
Qualifications
∙ Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a Bachelor of Fine Arts program with a focus in Painting
∙ Demonstrable proficiency in watercolour and gouache on paper
∙ Strong attention to detail, particularly in colour accuracy and surface preparation
∙ Ability to follow precise technical instructions consistently
∙ Self-motivated and comfortable working independently in a studio environment
. Responsibility to update on the progress of the work.
