About the Opportunities
Soul Sisters is looking for enthusiastic team members who enjoy baking, take pride in producing high-quality products, and thrive in a welcoming and diverse environment.
Successful candidates will help prepare a variety of artisan breads, pastries, and baked goods from scratch. Some positions will also include front-of-house responsibilities, such as assisting customers and maintaining attractive product displays.
Core Responsibilities For Baker:
- Mix, scale, and shape dough for breads, buns, pastries, and other baked goods.
- Operate commercial ovens, proofers, mixers, and other baking equipment safely.
- Ice, glaze, decorate, and finish pastries and cakes.
- Prepare and stock display cases before opening.
- Maintain clean and organized workstations, utensils, and equipment in accordance with Alberta food-safety standards.
- Assist customers and provide friendly front-of-house service when required.
- Support daily opening, closing, and general café operations.
Requirements and Qualifications
- One to two years of commercial baking experience is preferred.
- A culinary or baking certificate or diploma is considered an asset.
- A valid Alberta-recognized food-safety certificate is required.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 20 kg (45 lbs).
- Availability to work a flexible schedule, including days, evenings, and weekends.
- Strong time-management, multitasking, communication, and customer-service skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality.

- Free parking is available on-site. The ACTION Program – MCG Careers office is located on the second floor of the Okotoks Professional Building, directly above Almira’s Mediterranean restaurant. Enter through the main entrance and proceed to Unit 207.
Pay: $16.00-$20.00 per hour
