Job Summary
FE Ingredients Inc. is seeking a dedicated, skilled and safety-focused Truck Driver Class D/Z to transport goods safely and efficiently. The successful candidate will be responsible for reliable, on-time deliveries, safe freight handling, accurate driving records and compliance with applicable transportation requirements and company policies.
$37.00hr/Minimum 40 hours per week/Full Time/Onsite
Responsibilities
● Operate commercial trucks to transport freight to designated locations.
● Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to confirm safety and compliance.
● Load and unload cargo using power equipment when necessary and perform manual offloading as required.
● Maintain accurate electronic logs of driving hours, routes and deliveries.
● Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules and any delays or issues.
● Comply with applicable Highway Traffic Act (HTA) and Ministry of Transportation of Ontario (MTO) requirements.
● Safeguard freight and ensure deliveries are completed on time and in good condition.
Requirments
- Valid Class D driver's licence with Z air-brake endorsement.
- Ability to operate a 5-ton straight truck with a 10-speed manual transmission.
- Minimum two years of commercial driving experience.
- Clean driver's abstract.
- Ability to speak and write in English.
- Previous freight transportation or logistics experience is an asset.
- Strong time-management skills and ability to work independently.
- Ability to safely load, unload and manually handle freight as required.
- No degree, certificate or diploma required.
