We are looking for an experienced, passionate, and energetic Full-Time Bartender to help lead our bar program and deliver unforgettable experiences to our guests.
The Role
As a Bartender at Janevca, you are more than a drink maker—you are a host, a storyteller, and a key architect of our restaurant's atmosphere. You will command our bar space, crafting exceptional cocktails, sharing deep knowledge of regional and international wines, and providing seamless, engaging service to guests at the bar and throughout the lounge.
Key Responsibilities
- Craft & Consistency: Prepare and serve a high standard of classic and contemporary cocktails, craft beers, and non-alcoholic beverages with speed and precision.
- Guest Engagement: Deliver attentive, warm, and personalized hospitality to bar guests, anticipating their needs and building strong community relationships.
- Beverage Knowledge: Confidently guide guests through our beverage menus, offering expert pairings and describing flavor profiles across wine, spirits, and beer.
- Service Support: Efficiently manage and execute service bar orders for the dining room team during peak hours without compromising quality.
- Inventory & Maintenance: Maintain a pristine, organized, and fully stocked bar environment. Assist with inventory tracking, restocking, and prep work.
What We Are Looking For
- Experience: Proven bartending experience in a similar premium-casual or upscale dining venue.
- Product Knowledge: Good, solid product knowledge across classic cocktails, spirits, craft beers, and wine.
- Availability: Flexible availability for evening shifts scheduled between 4:00 PM and Midnight.
- Certifications: Valid Serving It Right certification is mandatory.
- Legal & Location: Applicants must currently live in Victoria and possess a valid work permit to be eligible for employment.
