Key Responsibilities:
- Follow all safety, equipment checks and precautions in performance of all duties. Comply with all federal, state, local and company policies for safe vehicle operation.
- Can operate and understand the operation of vacuum truck equipment.
- Lift up to 50lbs to set up and control hoses, and to shovel waste material
- Accurately complete pre and post trip inspections and work orders in a timely and legible manner.
- Exhibit a professional demeanor, manner and appearance. Represent the Company by providing professional customer service to our clients, customers and vendors at all times.
- Participate in monthly safety meetings. Identify and report all workplace injuries, incidents and potential hazards immediately to your Supervisor.
- Participate in all work-related tasks as assigned by your Supervisor at a variety of locations in a safe and effective manner.
- Work efficiently to meet or exceed our productivity goals while maintaining high quality standards.
- Adhere to all Environmental and Health & Safety policies and procedures.
- Participate in the on-call program.
- Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills and Competencies:
- Ability to read, write, perform basic mathematical calculations and communicate with others.
- Ability to follow instructions and perform duties under limited supervision.
- Ability to operate any equipment necessary to perform job functions.
- Ability to apply common sense reasoning to solve general problems.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma, General Education Degree (GED) or equivalent.
- Valid drivers license.
- Must have good communication skills to be able to interact verbally with peers and customers.
- Ability to manually lift up to 50lbs regularly.
- Able to perform confirmed space entry tasks.
- Comfortable working at heights.
- Ability to evenings and nights.
- Must be able to pass a drug screening.
Physical/Mental Demands:
- Must be able to stand, walk, bend, reach and lift in an outdoor environment 90% of the time.
- Must be able to use hands and fingers, kneel, crawl, talk, hear, climb and balance.
- Visual requirements include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
- Ability to manually push/move up to 50 lbs with assistance from another employee.
Working Conditions:
- Frequently exposed to loud noise, humidity, rainy/stormy, extreme hot and cold weather conditions (depending upon season), moving mechanical parts, vibrations, toxic and caustic chemicals, fumes and airborne particles.
- Work in outdoor environment up to 100% of the time.
- Occasionally work in high precarious places.
- Work environment is normally loud.
