Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Controller to oversee our organization’s financial operations. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in accounting principles, financial reporting, and the use of various accounting software. This role is essential in ensuring accurate financial records, compliance with regulations, and effective financial planning. The Controller will lead the accounting team, manage budgets, and provide strategic financial insights to support organizational growth and stability.
Responsibilities
- Manage all aspects of accounting functions including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger activities.
- Oversee the preparation of financial statements, reports, and analyses to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulatory standards.
- Utilize accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, and other platforms to maintain precise financial records.
- Perform account reconciliation and account analysis to identify discrepancies or irregularities.
- Develop and monitor budgets, forecasts, and financial plans aligned with organizational goals.
- Ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll and related tax filings.
- Lead month-end and year-end closing processes while maintaining internal controls to safeguard assets.
- Collaborate with auditors during audits and ensure adherence to compliance requirements.
- Provide strategic insights based on financial data to support decision-making at executive levels.
- Stay updated on changes in accounting regulations and best practices to ensure ongoing compliance.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Controller or senior accounting role with comprehensive knowledge of accounting principles.
- Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, and other relevant platforms.
- Strong understanding of accounts payable/receivable processes, payroll management, budgeting, and account reconciliation.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data accurately.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or equivalent certification is preferred.
- Exceptional organizational skills with keen attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to lead a team effectively while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Pay: $70,000.00-$85,000.00 per year
