About Balto Capital
Balto Capital owns and manages a growing portfolio of multi-residential apartment buildings across Edmonton. We're looking for an experienced, reliable Painter who takes pride in transforming vacant apartments into clean, move-in-ready homes for new residents.
This is a fast-paced role for someone who enjoys working independently, takes ownership of their work, and understands the importance of quality, efficiency, and attention to detail.
What you'll do
As our Painter, you'll be responsible for preparing and painting vacant suites as part of the turnover process, ensuring every apartment meets our move-in standards.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare walls, ceilings, doors, trim, and other surfaces for painting
- Fill holes, repair minor drywall damage, sand, caulk, and prime as needed
- Paint walls, ceilings, doors, trim, and common areas using rollers and brushes (spraying only when appropriate)
- Protect flooring, fixtures, appliances, cabinets, and other finishes while painting
- Inspect completed work and complete touch-ups to ensure a professional finish
- Maintain a clean, organized work area and properly clean tools after each job
- Track completed units and communicate progress with the Property Management team
What we're looking for
- 2+ years of residential or commercial painting experience
- Experience preparing apartment turnover units is a strong asset
- Strong drywall patching and surface preparation skills
- Ability to produce clean cut lines and consistent, high-quality finishes
- Efficient and able to complete multiple unit turnovers each week while maintaining quality
- Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, and work on your feet throughout the day
- Valid driver's licence and reliable vehicle to travel between properties
- Dependable, self-motivated, and takes pride in workmanship
