Temporary General Labourer — Flat Roofing Project
Location: Leamington (start daily at company shop or on-site)
Schedule: Mon–Fri, occasional Saturday. Start time: 6:30 AM at shop. 25-44hrs/week
Pay: Competitive hourly pay (paid weekly)
Start: Immediate. Interviews: Monday & Tuesday, June 15 & 16.
Length of employment: 6-8 weeks (or completion of project) - possibility of being offered a permanent role at the end of the project
Role summary
Assist the roofing crew on a flat roofing replacement project. This is a physically demanding, dirty role requiring heavy lifting, sustained walking, and work in hot outdoor conditions.
Key duties
- Remove old roofing materials.
- Remove stone, debris, and waste from roof surfaces.
- Load, carry, and dispose of debris at site/shop.
- Assist installers with delivery, positioning, and fastening of new roofing system components.
- Clean work areas and help maintain a safe jobsite.
- Follow crew instructions and safety procedures.
Requirements
- Must have steel/composite toe/plate work boots and a hard hat.
- Reliable transportation to/from the shop or the work site each day.
- Able to start immediately and work the posted schedule.
- Physically fit for heavy lifting, prolonged standing/walking, and hot outdoor work.
- Available for interviews on June 15 or possibly on June 16.
- Valid Working at Height certification is a plus; candidates must be willing to obtain it quickly if required.
