Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Dishwasher/Kitchen Helper to join our busy food service team. This role is essential in maintaining a clean and efficient kitchen environment, supporting food preparation, and ensuring smooth restaurant operations. The ideal candidate will have a positive attitude, be detail-oriented, and possess a passion for food safety and cleanliness. Prior restaurant or food industry experience is a plus but not required, as training will be provided.
Responsibilities
- Wash dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment promptly to maintain cleanliness standards
- Assist with basic meal preparation and food handling tasks as directed by kitchen staff
- Support food service operations by organizing supplies and maintaining a tidy work area
- Help with food prep tasks such as sorting ingredients or assembling simple dishes under supervision
- Follow all food safety protocols to ensure hygiene and sanitation in the kitchen
- Assist in cleaning kitchen surfaces, floors, and storage areas to uphold health standards
- Support team members during busy service times to ensure efficient workflow
Experience
- Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred but not required
- Knowledge of cooking, meal preparation, and food handling practices is advantageous
- Familiarity with food safety standards within the food industry is beneficial
- Experience with serving or general kitchen work can help in adapting quickly to the role
- Willingness to learn new skills related to food preparation and kitchen operations
