The Poke Guy is seeking an energetic and customer-focused Food Counter Attendant to join our dynamic team. Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and take their food orders accurately using the POS (Point of Sale) system, including Micros POS if applicable
- Prepare and assemble food items according to established standards, ensuring quality and presentation
- Handle cash transactions efficiently, including cash handling and cashiering duties, while maintaining accuracy with basic math calculations
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of workstations, utensils, and food preparation areas in compliance with food safety regulations
- Assist with food preparation tasks such as assembling sandwiches, salads, or other menu items as needed
- Upsell menu items by suggesting additional products to enhance customer satisfaction and increase sales
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure timely service and minimize wait times for guests
Skills
- Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments with a strong understanding of food handling procedures
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Micros POS for order processing and cash management
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally
- Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently in a fast-paced setting
- Basic math skills for cash handling, change calculation, and order totaling
- Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper kitchen hygiene
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team in a busy restaurant or food industry setting
- Experience in upselling menu items to maximize sales opportunities
