Responsibilities
- Assisting customers in finding the right lumber types, quality, and quantities for their construction projects.
- Order Fulfillment: Pulling materials from stock to build exact orders and verifying invoices.
- Loading & Unloading: Manually or mechanically lifting heavy building materials into customer vehicles or company delivery trucks.
- Stocking & Organizing: Restocking shelves, flattening lumber, culling damaged wood, and rotating pallets.
- Keeping the lumber shed and yard free of debris and ensuring product lifts are safely bundled.
- Conducting material counts and ensuring physical stock matches computerized inventory systems.
- Operating yard equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks.
Qualifications
- Exceptional customer service skills.
- Retail experience in a fast paced customer service and sales and environment.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends.
- Adherence to company policies and procedures
- Valid Nova Scotia drivers license
