We are seeking an enthusiastic, professional, and organized Dental Receptionist to join our growing dental practice. This opportunity is ideal for someone who is passionate about delivering exceptional patient care and enjoys working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
As the first point of contact for our patients, you will play a vital role in creating a welcoming experience while ensuring the efficient day-to-day operation of our front office. The successful candidate will be confident managing patient communications, scheduling, insurance coordination, and administrative responsibilities while supporting our clinical team in providing outstanding care.
Responsibilities
- Welcome patients warmly and professionally upon arrival and departure.
- Answer and manage a busy multi-line telephone system with professionalism and efficiency.
- Schedule, confirm, and coordinate patient appointments using dental practice management software such as Dentrix (experience with other dental software is considered an asset).
- Verify insurance eligibility and process insurance claims accurately.
- Collect patient payments, co-payments, and process financial transactions.
- Maintain accurate electronic patient records while ensuring confidentiality and compliance with privacy regulations.
- Respond to patient inquiries regarding appointments, treatment scheduling, insurance, office policies, and financial arrangements.
- Coordinate patient flow with dentists, hygienists, and dental assistants to ensure an efficient and productive schedule.
- Complete daily administrative duties including recalls, confirmations, correspondence, filing, scanning, and data entry.
- Help maintain a welcoming, organized, and professional reception area.
- Deliver exceptional customer service that reflects our commitment to outstanding patient care.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess:
- Previous experience working as a Dental Receptionist.
- Experience using Dentrix or other dental practice management software.
- Strong knowledge of dental terminology, treatment coordination, and dental insurance procedures.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Exceptional organizational skills with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask and remain composed in a fast-paced environment.
- Professional appearance with a friendly, positive, and patient-focused attitude.
- A dependable work ethic and commitment to working collaboratively with the dental team.
