Overview
We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Allocation Planner to join our supply chain team. This role is pivotal in optimizing warehouse distribution, demand planning, and order fulfillment processes. The ideal candidate will leverage advanced data analysis skills and supply chain expertise to ensure efficient materials management and inventory allocation across multiple channels, including e-commerce and retail management. Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain accurate demand forecasts using data mining, analysis skills, and demand planning techniques.
- Utilize MRP, ERP systems, AS400, and warehouse management systems to coordinate materials procurement and inventory allocation.
- Analyze sales trends, merchandising data, and retail management insights to optimize order fulfillment strategies.
- Collaborate with procurement teams on sourcing negotiations and supplier relationships, including 3PL providers.
- Use data visualization tools like Tableau and Power BI to create reports that inform strategic decisions on warehouse distribution and materials management.
- Monitor supply chain performance metrics, identify bottlenecks, and implement process improvements for efficiency gains.
- Manage warehouse distribution activities ensuring timely delivery while minimizing costs through effective forecasting and planning.
- Support procurement activities by analyzing purchasing patterns and negotiating with vendors for optimal sourcing solutions.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams including logistics, purchasing, and warehouse operations to streamline processes.
- Conduct regular data collection and analysis to support continuous improvement initiatives within the supply chain.
Requirements
- Proven experience in analytics, demand planning, or supply chain management roles.
- Strong proficiency with ERP systems (such as SAP or Oracle), SQL, Power BI, Tableau, and warehouse management systems.
- Knowledge of MRP processes, materials management, order fulfillment, and warehouse distribution strategies.
- Familiarity with e-commerce platforms, retail management practices, procurement procedures, and sourcing negotiations.
- Ability to analyze large datasets using data mining techniques; excellent data visualization skills are a plus.
- Experience working with 3PL providers and understanding of warehouse operations including forklift handling is desirable.
- Strong negotiation skills combined with process improvement capabilities to enhance supply chain efficiency.
- Excellent analytical thinking skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets for strategic insights.
- Effective communication skills for cross-departmental collaboration and reporting purposes. This role is integral in ensuring our supply chain operates seamlessly by leveraging advanced analytics tools and strategic sourcing practices to meet business objectives efficiently.
Pay: $65,000.00-$80,000.00 per year
