Verve Seed Solutions is Canada’s leading hemp breeder and seed supplier. As a crop with a high sustainability index, demand for hemp is being driven by food, high quality plant based protein and oil and fiber, consumer and industrial uses. In 2027 Verve will launch Canada’s first high yielding hemp hybrids, creating a step change in hemp productivity. Verve is investing in systems and people to support the international commercialization of VELOCITY hybrid hemp. The Operations Coordinator is a key position utilizing proprietary internal systems to ensure VELOCITY hybrids move efficiently from breeding and testing through to market. Key Responsibilities
● Manage the systems and documentation which drive company operations, VISION platform
○ Seed Production – seed certification and quality assurance tracking
○ Inventory Control – tracking of breeder, foundation and commercial seed
○ CRM – customer order tracking and fulfillment
● Provide compliance with industry and regulatory standards, CFIA, Health Canada, CSGA
● Coordinate shipping logistics and documentation for domestic and international orders
● Communicate regularly with internal and external customers and vendors
Personal Qualities, Skills & Abilities
● Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
● Strong interpersonal and communication skills, written and verbal
● Strong time management and prioritization skills
● Demonstrated ability to work independently in a remote environment with strong self-motivation
● Proficiency with spreadsheets, data management, and reporting
● Preference given to candidates with:
○ Experience in seed business, agriculture, or supply chain/logistics
○ Experience with CFIA, Health Canada and CSGA seed standards
○ Post-secondary education in Agriculture or Business Administration
○ Experience utilizing Artificial Intelligence in the workplace
○ Experience with import/export shipping logistics
